Decision

To dispose of Land at Green Lane, Baildon, Shipley. BD17 5JF (property ARN 52749, 59557 & 52588)

The property is identified in the attached site plan.

Property Description

Located close to Otley Road the site is approximately 2.54 acres (1.028 hectares) and is a grassed rectangular landscaped area, bordered by trees, stone walls and residential properties. It lies opposite the former Baildon Recreation Centre. The land has been used for grazing but it is now vacant however part of it is used for parking vehicles for which a licence has been granted, under the terms of the licence the Council can re-gain possession at short notice.

The site benefits from a draft allocation for residential development in the emerging Local Plan with an indication that it could support up to 30 residential units.

Alternative options considered

Retain the property and continue to manage as part of the Council owned non-operational estate.
