Purpose

To seek Cabinet Approval for the Norfolk
Strategic Planning Framework 2025.

Decision

RESOLVED THAT CABINET:
 

1)    
Endorses the Norfolk
Strategic Planning Framework Version 4 (2025) and the agreements
contained therein.
 

2)    
Gives delegated
authority to the Director of Planning and Building Control to make
minor non-material consequential changes to the documents as
necessary.

Reasons for the decision

To ensure that Breckland continues to have a strong voice
within Norfolk and to establish key areas of common ground on key
areas relating to the local economy, housing, infrastructure, and
environment and delivery matters in a cost-effective.

Alternative options considered

Option 1 – That the Cabinet endorses the Norfolk
Strategic Planning Framework and Statement of Common Ground Version
4.
 
Option 2 – That the Cabinet does not endorse the
Strategy and risks losing influence in any future cross-boundary
plan preparation and a failure under the duty to co-operate
requirement when producing our Local Plan.
