Purpose

To provide information on the actual full year financial position of the council against budget for 2025-26

Decision

RESOLVED that:

1)     That the report and appendices be noted; and

RECOMMEND to FULL COUNCIL:

2)     That the revised capital budget and associated funding for the 2026-27 capital programme as detailed in appendix B be approved

3)     That the final capital out-turn and funding for 2025-26 as detailed in appendix C be approved

Reasons for the decision

To ensure Members are updated regularly and in a timely fashion on the overall Council financial position.

To make the best use of the funding available to the Council and to protect the General Fund minimum balance.

Subject to approval, by carrying forward the capital budgets this will allow delivery of our approved capital programme into 2026-27.

Alternative options considered

Option 1:

·        That the revised capital budget and associated funding for the 2026-27 capital programme as detailed in appendix B be approved.

·        That the final capital out-turn and funding for 2025-26 as detailed in appendix C be approved.

Option 2: Do nothing
