Purpose

Authorisation to release funding to Thetford Town Council for both their applications (Street Furniture Provision on Abbey Waters Meadow, Linking the Town Centre with Abbey Estate in Thetford & Upgrade of Kings House Gardens, Behind Kings House, King Street, Thetford (see full report). It was secured under Section 106 Agreement dated 9th February 2011 in relation to Planning Permission 3PL/2010/0013/F.

Decision

Breckland Council authorises the release of £3600.00 towards the Abbey Waters Meadow Street Furniture Application and £3000.00 towards the Upgrade of Kings House Gardens, Thetford from the Recreational Contribution held by the Council in accordance with Section 106 Agreement dated 9th February 2011 in relation to Planning Permission 3PL/2010/0013/F (see full report).

Reasons for the decision

This work is consistent with the requirements within the S106 Agreement as detailed above. 

It is recommended that delegated authority is granted to release £6600.00 from the Recreation Contribution held by the Council in accordance with S106 Agreement dated 9th February 2011 under planning application 3PL/2010/0013/F towards both projects.

Alternative options considered

·         Fully fund both applications as set out in the report.

·         Do nothing.
