To approve the disposal of land on School Road, Thompson

Reasons for the decision

This will provide a revenue receipt to the council and offload any maintenance costs associated with this land, as well as providing an extended garden space to No’s 1 & 2 School Road, Thompson. 

Alternative options considered

·         Approve the sale of the land on School Road, Thompson, subject to the proposed restriction on its use.

·         Do nothing, in which case the Council would retain the land and remain responsible for its maintenance and associated costs, whilst being restricted on future use of the land due to the location of the septic tank serving No’s 1 & 2 School Road.
