About
The Shared Regulatory Service Joint Committee oversees a partnership between Bridgend, Cardiff, and the Vale of Glamorgan Councils, aiming to deliver efficient and cost-effective Trading Standards, Environmental Health, and Licensing services across the region. It is composed of Cabinet Members and Public Protection Committee Chairs from each participating council. The committee's remit includes promoting fair trading, protecting consumers and businesses, safeguarding public health and safety through advice and enforcement, and ensuring licensed activities meet high standards to protect the public. The Vale of Glamorgan Council administers the committee.
