About

The Audit, Standards & General Purposes Committee oversees the Council's financial governance, risk management, and audit arrangements, acting as a critical friend to build trust. It also ensures high ethical standards among Members, Co-opted Members, and Officers, advising on Codes of Conduct and handling related complaints. The Committee handles non-executive functions not delegated elsewhere and, through its Employment Sub-Committee, discharges specific personnel functions. Independent persons, appointed without voting rights, also contribute to its advisory capacity.
