Purpose

Following a Health & Safety Update report
to June Housing & New Homes Committee a further report is being
brought to September Committee, including a Health & Safety
Action Plan being developed prioritising agreed actions,
responsibilities and timelines for completion in anticipation of
forthcoming legal and regulatory changes concerning the management
and maintenance of council homes. The Housing & New Homes
Committee report will include the Action Plan, update on further
detail we expect to have on legal & regulatory changes and
feedback from engagement with tenants at Housing Area
Panels.

RESOLVED:
 

2.1     
That Housing & New Homes Committee note the Housing health
& safety update and Action Plan and that further updates will
be brought back for Committee consideration following the outcome
of current Government and Regulator consultation.
