Escalation Panel

The Escalation Panel reviews decisions referred from Policy Committees or senior officers acting under delegated authority. A minimum of ten councillors, not involved in the original decision, must request an escalation for it to be considered. The Panel's decision puts the original decision on hold until its final determination is made. Any councillor not involved in the initial decision can participate in the Escalation Panel.
