About
The Licensing (Hearings) Sub-Committee is a group of three councillors responsible for making decisions on specific licensing matters under the Licensing Act 2003. It considers applications and reviews for premises licences, club premises certificates, personal licences, and temporary event notices.
Operating in a quasi-judicial capacity, the sub-committee hears evidence and representations from applicants, responsible authorities like the police and environmental health, and the public before making its decisions in line with legal procedures.
