Purpose

The project’s approved business case
includes the proposal to install new telemetry instrumentation to
improve our river flow and level data intelligence. As lead
partner, Bristol City Council is required to deliver the project in
partnership with our project partners. The Environment Agency was
identified as the preferred route to deliver the telemetry
workstream due to their expertise in this area and access to
suitable framework contracts.

Content

To approve utilisation of the Environment
Agency’s framework contracts to install, operate and maintain
new flow and level gauges at three sites in Bristol as part of the
Resilient Frome project. The utilisation of the Environment
Agency’s contract will be fully funded by secured funding
from Defra. The contract will be administered by Environment Agency
project partners.
