Purpose
As part of the Clean Air Zone programme JAQU
awarded Bristol City Council funding to provide mobility credits to
encourage a modal shift towards sustainable modes of transport such
as buses, trains, walking, cycling and scooting etc. One of the key
mobility credits is provision of taster bus tickets to allow people
who live, work and study in Bristol to try the bus as an
alternative mode of transport to help reduce reliance on cars.
First Bus are the main provider of bus routes in the city which is
why this direct award for bus taster tickets has been approved so
that they can be widely useable for the largest number of bus
routes possible.
