Purpose

The services procured will assist Bristol City
Council in managing this civils works contract, which is of
considerable size and complexity. There is currently insufficient
resource to manage this contract using internal members of staff.
Bristol City Council is satisfied that the resource procured
externally has the relevant skills and expertise to fulfil the
role.

Content

This is a large project that requires an
external construction management team. The Project Manager and Site
Supervisor positions are vital roles required to successfully
complete this construction project. Both NEC4 Project management
services and Site supervision services are required during the
ongoing civils contract for the highway improvement works package
at Hengrove Junctions. The decision follows a tender process under
the West of England Professional Services Framework.
