Purpose

To enable the timely delivery of the expansion
and refurbishment of Filwood Community Centre, part of the wider
Transforming Filwood Broadway regeneration project.
Bristol City Council has been granted Levelling Up Funding for the
Filwood Broadway Regeneration project and subsequent cabinet
approval to delegate authority to the Executive Director of Growth
and Regeneration to procure and award contracts to deliver the
project, in consultation with the S151 Officer, and Chair of the
Homes and Housing Delivery Committee.

Content

The decision is to approve the award of the
contract for the refurbishment and expansion of Filwood Community
Centre to Bray and Slaughter Ltd. The corresponding JCT Standard
Building Contract is entered into pursuant to the Westworks
Development and Construction DPS Category 3 and 4. OJEU Contract
Notice 2018/S 155-354660.

Alternative options considered

N/a. Appointment follows a competitive
three-stage tender process via the West Works framework. A change
in the contractor at this stage would have a considerable programme
and cost impact.
