Purpose

1.     
To provide an update on the progress made on the Local Flood Risk
Management Strategy (LFRMS) Action Plan.

2.     
To provide the Committee with an opportunity to review how flood
risk is being managed.

3.     
To seek approval to  drawdown
£500,000 of Strategic CIL allocated by full council to fund
survey and inspection work of the Harbour Entrance Lock.
 

Content

That the Committee for Economy &
Skills:

1.     
Noted the progress made with actions in the Local Flood Risk
Management Strategy.

2.     
Support the approach to managing flood risk through continued work
on the LFRMS Action Pan.

3.     
Approved drawdown of £500,000 of Strategic CIL already
allocated by full council to fund survey and inspection work of the
Harbour Entrance Lock.

4.     
Authorised the Executive Director of Growth & Regeneration in
consultation with the Chair of the Economy and Skills Committee to
take all steps required to spend the funding and procure and award
contracts as outlined in this report.
