Extension of the existing Lorne Stewart Hard FM contract for a further two months – July and August 2025
June 11, 2025 Executive Director: Growth and Regeneration (Officer) Approved View on council websiteFull council record
Purpose
Following awarding the new Hard FM contract to
Lorne Stewart and to follow the terms and conditions of the NEC4
contract, pre-contract data needs to be provided before the
contract can be signed and the mobilisation of the new arrangement,
necessitates the existing Lorne Stewart contract extension, being
extended for a further period of two months to 31st August 2025.
This extension ensures that Bristol City Council remains compliant
in its activities regarding planned preventative maintenance.
Content
Based upon current spend, a two month
extension to the existing arrangement has been agreed, with the
new
Hard FM contract coming into effect on 1st September 2025
Alternative options considered
Due to the need for compliance activities to
be met, a new contractor would not have been mobilised by the end
of the existing arrangement (30 June 2025), therefore, a two month
extension to the existing extension is the only option.
