Full council record
Purpose

A feasibility study and scoping took place and
identified a suitable location at Henbury Court to deliver up to 30
SEND places utilising an existing building that, whilst not
currently fit for purpose, provides an ideal platform on which to
build a new dedicated unit to deliver requirements against SEND
targets, a key strategic priority for the council.
The purpose of the decision is to approve the mandate and spend of
£220k to develop a Full Business Case to deliver a partial
redevelopment of existing buildings within the grounds of Henbury
Court School / Academy to provide a safe secure learning and
development environment for 30 pupils.
The Full Business Case approval and request for funding to deliver
the project will be taken to committee for a decision.
