Purpose

This report seeks to consider future
opportunities in the city with regard to Women’s
Football.

Content

The Committee RESOLVED (unanimous vote in
favour):
 
1. To approve the submission of the bid to be
a host city for the 2035 FIFA Women’s World Cup Finals.
 
2. To authorise the Chief Executive in
consultation with the Chair of the Strategy and Resources Committee
to take all steps required to submit the bid and enter into any
necessary agreements to progress the bid and spend the approved
funding (including procuring and awarding contracts).
 
3. To note the associated costs of being
selected as a host city as set out in exempt appendix E.
