The Committee RESOLVED
(unnanimoulsy):
To note and support the Task and Finish
Group’s five high level recommendations (as detailed
below):
New Resident and Community Panel
will introduce a diverse, representative panel and replace the
Housing Management Board, embedding lived experience into service
design and decision-making.
Incentives and support for
participation such as, financial support, childcare, ICT access,
and recognition schemes will be co-designed with residents and
introduced to remove barriers and encourage involvement.
Localised, tiered engagement models
at block, estate, and neighbourhood level will ensure relevance,
support regeneration, and reflect community priorities.
Work collaboratively with residents
to co-design a new Resident Voice Strategy and a new Resident
Engagement Strategy.
Promote positive narratives and
resident impact using storytelling, resident-created content, and
good news stories to highlight community pride and the value of
social housing.
