Purpose

relating to houses in multiple occupation for the areas outlined in
the report.

The Committee RESOLVED
(unanimous vote in favour):
That the Committee agrees it
would be expedient for the council to make an article 4 direction
for the areas referred to in this report and:
1. Instructs the Head of Legal
and Democratic Services to make non-immediate article 4 directions
(12 months in advance of any directions taking effect) to remove
permitted development rights for a change of use from a
dwellinghouse (Use Class C3) to a small HMO (Use Class C4) for the
areas set out in Appendix A and give notice of such directions in
accordance with regulations.
2. Delegates authority to the
Director of Economy of Place to instruct the Head of Legal and
Democratic Services to confirm the above article 4 directions
within 12 months of their making subject to consideration of
representations made during the period of notice in accordance with
regulations.
