Purpose

To seek approval to accept and spend a grant
of up to £800k as an early adopter of the cross-government
Young Futures Hub Programme.

The committee RESOLVED: (Unanimously)
 
1. To note the report and
approve, subject to meeting the programme requirements, and any
associated grant conditions, the acceptance of up to £800,000
from the Department of Culture, Media, and Sport for delivery as an
early adopter of the Youth Hubs Programme.
 
2. To authorise the Executive
Director of Children and Education in consultation with the Chair
of the Children and Young People’s Committee to take all
steps required to accept and spend the Stage 2 implementation
funding of £800k including procuring and awarding contracts
necessary for implementing the early adopter programme from
September 2025 to end 2026, in line with the maximum budget
envelopes outlined in this report.
 
3. To authorise the Director of
Children and Education to invoke any subsequent
extensions/variations specifically defined in the contract(s) being
awarded, up to the maximum budget envelope outlined in this
report.
