Purpose

To seek approval
for the service delivery model Bristol City Council wishes to
employ beyond April 2027 for its statutory waste services (and Soft
FM).

The Committee RESOLVED:
 

(Unanimously for)Approves in principle the
preferred service delivery model of extending with BWC under
improved contractual arrangements.
(Unanimously for):Authorises the Executive
Director: Growth & Regeneration in consultation with the Chair
of the Environment & Sustainability Committee to enter
discussions with BWC over improved Waste Services and Soft
Facilities Management contracts to develop the final business
case.
It was noted that a Business
Case seeking approval to enter a new contract with BWC will return
to the Environment & Sustainability Committee in Autumn 2026,
which will also include a recommendation on the best contractual
approach.
