Purpose

To seek approval to submit an Expression of
Interest (EOI) for Bristol to apply to be the UK City of Culture
2029.

Content

That the Strategy and Resources Committee
(unanimous vote in favour):

1.     
Approved the submission of an Expression of Interest for Bristol to
become UK City of Culture 2029.

2.     
Authorised the Executive Director for Growth and Regeneration in
consultation with the Chair of the Strategy and Resources Committee
to finalise and submit an Expression of Interest to be the UK City
of Culture 2029 by the official deadline, in collaboration and
consultation with relevant stakeholders.
