Purpose

To seek approval of the 2026-27 Building
Practice Health and Safety Capital Programme budget allocation and
associated spend.

Content

That the Committee for Strategy and Resources
(unanimous vote in favour):

1.     
Approved the 2026-27 Building Practice Health and Safety Capital
Budget allocation, as set out in this report and Appendix A,
subject to Full Council budget approval in February 2026.

2.     
Authorised the Executive Director of Growth and Regeneration, in
consultation with the Chair of the Strategy and Resources
Committee, to take all steps required to spend the budget to
implement the programme of works in Appendix A including procuring
and awarding contracts which may be over the key decision
threshold.

3.     
Authorised the Executive Director of Growth and Regeneration, in
consultation with the Chair of the Strategy and Resources
Committee, to make amendments to the scheme budget allocations
(which may be above the key decision threshold) to meet operational
need, providing the programme operates within its approved budget
limit.
