Purpose

The Hybrid Meeting Technology Project is
already modernising the room and has an appointed supplier able to
assess the space and implement technical and accessibility
improvements. Adding this work to the existing project provides a
practical and efficient way to complete the outstanding
requirements, ensures the hall becomes a fully accessible civic
space for Members, staff and the public, and supports wider
organisational commitments to inclusion, hybrid working and
improved public participation. The change also enables more of the
original hybrid meeting room upgrades to be delivered by making use
of identified funding.

Content

from Property Services (Growth and Regeneration directorate) to the
Hybrid Meeting Technology project (Resources directorate)

Alternative options considered

•Do nothing – this was ruled out as
the improvements are required
•Deliver the improvements as a business-as-usual activity
– ruled out due to lack of resource to manage and implement
the work
•Extend the scope of the Hybrid Meeting Technology project to
deliver the improvements – recommended and approved
approach
