Purpose
To seek approval for the Fostering Sufficiency Capital Project and the Fostering Sufficiency Adaptations and Extensions Policy.
Decision
The Committee RESOLVED unanimously:
- 1. To approve the Fostering Sufficiency Adaptations and Extensions Policy.
- 2. To approve the use of £3.22m ITS capital funding to deliver the Foster Carer Capital Grants Scheme.
- 3. To authorise the Executive Director for Children & Young People in consultation with the Chair of the Children & Young People committee take all steps required to spend the allocated capital funds to undertake adaptations and extensions to increase fostering sufficiency, as outlined within the report.
- 4. To authorise the Executive Director for Children & Young People in consultation with the Chair of the Children & Young People committee to take all steps required to procure and award a contract for capital delivery consultants as required and in-line with the procurement routes and maximum budget envelopes outlined in this report.
- 5. To authorise the Executive Director for Children & Young People to invoke any subsequent extensions/variations specifically defined in the contract(s) being awarded, up to the maximum budget envelope outlined in this report.
