Purpose

To seek approval to submit the Full Business Case (FBC) to the West of England Mayoral Combined Authority (MCA) for Concorde Way (Dovercourt Road) cycling scheme.

Decision

That the Committee for Transport and Connectivity

1. 1.      Approved the submission of the Full Business Case (FBC) to the West of England Mayoral Combined Authority (MCA).

Contractual:

1. 1.      Authorised the Executive Director of Growth and Regeneration in consultation with the Chair of the Transport and Connectivity Committee to accept the funding offered on MCA’s approval of the FBC and award the relevant construction contract(s), in-line with the procurement routes and maximum budget envelopes outlined in this report.
2. 2.      Authorised the Executive Director of Growth and Regeneration to approve extensions or variations specifically provided for within the awarded contract, within the confirmed maximum scheme budget and external funding envelope, with no additional unfunded commitment to the Council.
