Purpose

To seek committee endorsement of the St Philip’s Marsh Masterplan Framework enabling it to carry appropriate planning weight as a material consideration and to align future planning applications and regeneration decisions with the emerging Local Plan.

Decision

That the Committee for Economy & Skills:

• Noted the consultation and engagement undertaken in preparing the St Philip's Marsh Masterplan.

• Noted the clarifications made to the Masterplan following consultation.

• Formally adopted the St Philip’s Marsh Masterplan as the strategic planning and regeneration framework for development and regeneration in the St Phillips Marsh area.

• Authorised officers to use the Masterplan as a material consideration in planning decisions.

• Delegated authority to the Executive Director for Growth and Regeneration to make minor factual, typographical and presentational amendments prior to publication.

• Delegated authority to the Executive Director for Growth and Regeneration to make future funding applications in line with the Masterplan.
