Purpose

To seek approval for the continuation of adoption services by Adoption West from 1 March 2027

Decision

The Committee for Children and Young People:

1. 1.      Approved a Variation to the Contract with Adoption West for the ongoing provision of adoption services. The Variation shall extend the contract for an initial period of 3 years from 1 April 2027 and include options for two further two-year extensions.
2. 2.      Requested that the decision to exercise the first extension after three years is taken by Committee with recommendations through a report scheduled with sufficient time to enable realistic future options.
