Purpose

To approve the capital expenditure via a loan facility to Bristol Waste Company (BWC) for BWC purchasing a new vehicle fleet.

Decision

The Committee for Strategy and Resources resolved to:

1. Approve funding of up to £12.12m to Bristol Waste Company Limited for the purposes of purchasing the replacement recycling vehicle fleet (Phase 1). 
2. Authorise the Executive Director Resources, in consultation with the Chair of Strategy and Resources Committee, to take all steps required to agree the terms of, and enter the loan facility.
