Purpose

To establish a Task and Finish Group to inform the development of a future portfolio of work to support the night time economy in Bristol, following the broader definition from the City at Night Director of Public Health Annual Report 2024

Decision

The Committee (unanimously) RESOLVED:

1. 1.             To note the report and approves the recommended approach and scope in the Terms of Reference (Appendix A) for the Night Time Economy Task and Finish Group.
2. 2.             To agree the Chair and membership of the Task and Finish Group;

a.      The membership should be politically proportionate to the composition of the Full Council (for a 9-member group, this would comprise 4 Green, 3 Labour, 1 Liberal Democrat ,1 Conservative).

b.      In the event that the Committee cannot appoint a full membership, the party group whips will appoint members to fill any vacancies.

1. 3.             To note that the Task and Finish Group will report back to the Committee for Economy and Skills in early 2027 with its findings.
