Purpose
The SEND Participation Service will help
Bristol’s children and young people with Special Educational
Needs and/or Disabilities (SEND) to share their collective
experiences of education, training and children’s services,
with a view to influence the design, delivery and evaluation of
future services. The service provides children and young people
with opportunities to enhance both their personal and social
development and their knowledge and skills related to
participation. The service is open to children and young people
aged 11-25.The successful bidder demonstrated they could deliver
high quality service which represents good value for money for the
local authority. Therefore the council decided to award to this
provider.
Content
Approval to enter into a contract with WECIL
to deliver the SEND Participation Service from 1st April 2024-31st
March 2026 (initial contract period) with three possible 1 year
extensions (1st April 2026-31st March 2027; 1st April 2027-31st
March 2028; 1st April 2028-31st March 2029).
