Purpose

Bristol is part of the European Union Climate Neutral and Smart Cities Mission and they have issued a short turnaround funding call on Leveraging Innovation and Financing for Transformation. This fits with aim of Bristol’s climate plans and so an application has been developed with partners.

Decision

Approval to submit an application to the Leveraging Innovation and Financing for Transformation call. If successful approval from the relevant policy committee will be sought to implement the project.

Alternative options considered

Not applying for the funding. Rejected because it would not support the achievement of the council’s climate goals.
