About
The Executive Member for Education, Children and Families is responsible for decisions concerning the Council's role as an education authority and the provision of learning opportunities for young people, including early years and childcare. This covers school place planning, admissions, welfare, special educational needs, youth services, and standards in schools. The role also includes decisions on children's social care, fostering, adoption, and family support services, impacting children and families within the borough.
