That a contract be awarded via direct award to
the Centre for Family Safeguarding Practice to deliver and support
the implementation of the Family Safeguarding Model for up to a
two-year period.  The estimated whole
life contract value is £150,100.

Reasons for the decision

The Family Safeguarding Model in
Children’s Social Care is a multi-agency family intervention
practice model specifically focused on reducing risk and harm
within families which has a strong evidence base demonstrating
sustainable improved outcomes for families and significant savings
for Children’s Social Care.  A
direct contract award is requested as the Centre for Family
Safeguarding Practice is the only provider of this practice
model.
