Purpose

The Portfolio Holder agreed that the schemes
listed in the report should be included in a programme of planned
highway maintenance for 2025 to 2026, to be undertaken by the
Council's existing highway term maintenance contractor.
 
The Portfolio Holder agreed that the decision
to include additional schemes in the programme should be delegated
to the Director of Environment and Public Protection, based on the
results of further road condition assessments.
 
The Portfolio Holder also agreed that the
additional grant funding that had been received from the Department
for Transport should be utilised to improve the condition of the
borough’s highway assets.
