The Portfolio Holder for Environment agreed to:

Utilise the forthcoming framework operated by the Government Commercial Agency (formally Crown Commercial Service), to lease any required cars and light commercial vehicles from November 2026 until February 2031 and to agree to the continued use of the framework for any extension period that may be applied by Government Commercial Agency.

Delegate authority to the Director of Environment & Public Protection to approve the use of the Vehicle Lease, Fleet Management & Salary Sacrifice call-off framework (Ref: RM6392) with successful suppliers, upon its award by the Government Commercial Agency (GCA). The new framework is expected to be awarded November 2026

Reasons for the decision

Consultation with the Director of HR, Customer Services and Public Affairs along with individual fleet user departments, confirmed that the Council has an ongoing requirement for the acquisition of motor vehicles to support the provision of services.
