The Environment Portfolio Holder approved the recommendation for a final round of funding under the Platinum Jubilee Parks Fund as outlined in paragraphs 3.8 and 3.9 of the Platinum Jubilee Parks Fund Update report, prior to its closure.

The Environment Portfolio Holder approved the allocation of £30k from the earmarked reserve to fund the Parks Platinum Jubilee Project Officer’s contract for an additional six-months to enable delivery of remaining and new projects.

Reasons for the decision

The report provided an update on the current financial position of the £1m Platinum Jubilee Parks Fund and suggested options for the closure of the Fund.
