The Cabinet of Bury Council approved the Northern Gateway Mayoral Development Corporation update on 09 September 2026. The decision approved the MDC operational arrangements, costs, and cost sharing approach, along with the GMCA's offer of additional grant funding. The Cabinet also authorised the Executive Director for Place and Director of Legal and Democratic Services to negotiate and complete necessary contractual arrangements for these matters.
