Purpose
The allocation of funding from within the Mayoral Transport Fund to Local Highways Authorities to support their statutory duties in relation to Highway Maintenance. The Mayor’s authority to pay a grant to Cambridgeshire County Council and Peterborough City Council as highways authorities is set out in Chapter 3, paragraph 3.2.1 of the CPCA constitution, and exercised under Section 31 of the Local Government Act 2003.
