Purpose

To consider proposals for Goods Way Safe and Healthy Streets,
including
changes to cycling, crossings, parking and loading, urban greening,
and the introduction of a new bus stop and mobility hub.

Consideration was given to a report of the Director of
Environment and Sustainability.
 
DECISION –
 
Having considered the proposals in relation to the objectives
set out in Camden’s Transport Strategy, the design amendments
made in response to feedback received in the public consultation,
the public Consultation Summary Report (Appendix C), the Equality
Impact Assessment (Appendix D), and having had due regard to the
needs set out in section 149 of the Equality Act 2010 the Cabinet
Member for Planning and a Sustainable Camden is asked to:
 

     
i)        
Approve the proposal to implement permanent changes in the Goods
Way area, and the design amendments that were made in response to
feedback received in the public consultation, subject to compliance
with relevant statutory requirements;
 

    
ii)        
Delegate authority to the Chief Engineer to take any further
decisions relating to the detailed design and implementation of
this scheme; and
 

  
iii)        
Delegate authority to the Director of Environment and
Sustainability, following consultation with the Cabinet Member for
Planning and a Sustainable Camden, to take any further decisions
required to deliver the scheme beyond the proposals approved in
this report, including consideration of any objections to statutory
traffic orders.
