Purpose

This report seeks approval for the award of contract for
the provision, maintenance and cleaning of new Bike Hangars across
the Borough.
 
The cycle hangar programme is supported by various Camden
council objectives and helps to encourage cycling by providing a
secure and covered space for residents of Camden to store their
bike if they do not have adequate space at home. There is currently
a high demand for cycle hangar spaces in Camden with over 7000
current waiting list requests for existing hangars in the
borough.
 
Following a successful tender process, it is proposed to
award a contract to CycleHoop Ltd for a period of up to 5 years
split into two parts with different lengths for each.

Content

THAT the Executive Director Supporting
Communities agrees the award of the contract to
CycleHoop Ltd for
 

i)              
3 years with two optional 1-year extensions for part 1 of the
contract; and

ii)             
2 years with three optional 1- year extensions for part 2 of the
contract
 
for the estimated sum of
£2,081,100.00 in aggregate including contract extensions.
