DECISION –
 
THAT the Cabinet Member for Better Homes:
 

1.   
Notes the ongoing programmes of property acquisitions mentioned in
the report and the variable sources of funding for those
acquisitions required to meet the acute housing demand in the
Borough both obtained to date and opportunities in the forthcoming
year;

2.   
Notes the previous reports to cabinet and the updated position
since those reports;

3.   
Confirms the previous delegation to the Director of Housing to
agrees to acquire properties valued between £250,000 and
£2.5m for those current and future related acquisition
programmes, subject to the availability of appropriate internal or
grant funding;

4.   
Agrees to receive an update report in approximately twelve
months’ time; and

5.   
Agrees that, subject to the agreement of the Chair of the Housing
Scrutiny Committee, the above decision be exempt from call in for
the reasons set out at paragraph 1.3 of the report.
