Purpose
To consider implementing permanent proposals for a road safety
and urban realm scheme for Kilburn High Road. The scheme proposes
to widen pavements, modernise junctions, introduce cycle crossings,
and other public realm improvements.

Consideration was given to a report of the Director of
Environment and Sustainability.
DECISION –
THAT having considered the proposals in relation to the
objectives set out in Camden’s Transport Strategy, the design
amendments made in response to feedback received in the public
consultation, the public Consultation Summary Report (Appendix A),
the Equality Impact Assessment (Appendix C), and having had due
regard to the needs set out in section 149 of the Equality Act
2010, the Cabinet Member for Planning and a Sustainable Camden
agrees to:
i)
Approve the proposal to implement permanent changes as part of the
Better, Safer Kilburn scheme, including the design amendments that
are proposed in response to feedback received in the public
consultation and further design considerations, subject to
compliance with relevant statutory requirements;
ii)
Delegate authority to the Chief Engineer to take any further
decisions relating to the detailed design and
implementation/construction of this scheme; and
iii)
Delegate authority to the Director of Environment and
Sustainability, following consultation with the Cabinet Member for
Planning and a Sustainable Camden, to take any further decisions
required to deliver the scheme beyond the proposals approved in
this report, such as consideration of any objections to statutory
consultation processes
