Purpose
This report sets out the steps taken to process an
application under Section 247 of the Town and Country Planning Act
1990 for a stopping up order (permanant road closure) of part of
the public highway on Queens Grove adjacent to the boundary of the
property at 73-75 Avenue Road and requests the Director of
Environment & Sustainability approve the making of the
order.
Content
The Director of Environment & Sustainability is asked
to:
i)
Note and consider the contents of this report, including the
objections to the stopping up order, which are not withdrawn and,
the subsequent Inspectors Report in Appendix 3 that recommends the
stopping up order is made
ii)
Agree that consent of the Mayor of London / Greater London
Authority (GLA) be sought to the making of the stopping up
order.
iii)
Subject to the Mayor of London’s / GLA approval, authorise
that the stopping up order can be made and advertised in accordance
with the statutory requirements.
