Purpose
This report sets out the procurement strategy
and contract award of a landscape contractor to deliver
improvements to the Harben Estate green space area which includes
an improved multi-use games area, green space access, seating,
bins, picnic table and soft landscaping.
The Harben Estate improvement project is part
of the Swiss Cottage Green Infrastructure Programme and seeks to
bring green space improvements to the ward of South Hampstead
(formerly Swiss cottage).
The procurement route is a request for
quotation to 3x reputable landscape contractors. A closed
request-for-quotation has concluded and 3x quotes have been
received and evaluated by the project officer. The council
therefore seeks to proceed with the most economically advantageous
quote received by Frost Landscapes.
The contract value is £157,000.00 and
the contract is expected to start in May 2025. Works are expected
to be completed by July 2025 and the defects and maintenance period
expected to conclude in July 2026.
