Purpose

This report seeks approval to extend the
current contract for Server Licence hardware and support, which is
a Hyper-Converged solution, Information Technology(IT) framework
that combines compute, storage, and networking into a single,
software-defined system and therefore, eliminates the need for
traditional, separate hardware system).
 
The contract commenced on 1st July 2022 with
an initial term of thirty-six (36) months, initial term end of 30th
July 2025. The contract has an option to extend for a further
twelve (12) months at the discretion of the Council. The service
has decided to take up the extension clause for an annual value of
£265,076.42.
 
The aggregated cost of the contract was
£1,158,614.31 for a 3-year term, split to £386,204.77
annually.
 
Renewal Cost - £265,076.42 for 12-month
support extension on hardware & 1-year Nutanix Software
Subscription.
