Purpose
This report sets out the procurement strategy
to procure a contractor to deliver 52 homes in the first of eight
phases as part of the redevelopment of West Kentish Town Estate for
an approximate value of £23.92m commencing in March 2026 and
completing in June 2028.
Content
THAT the Executive Director Supporting
Communities, following consultation with the Cabinet Member for New
Homes and Community Investment, Cabinet Member for Better Homes and
Cabinet Member for Finance and Cost of Living, the Executive
Director Corporate Services and the Borough Solicitor endorses the
following recommendations:
1.
The project to be tendered using a
competitive flexible procedure under the Procurement Act 2023, to
select a contractor to deliver the West Kentish Town Estate (WKTE)
regeneration project Phase 1 which will deliver 52 homes at a cost
of approximately £23.92m. Phase 1 construction is due to
commence March 2026 and complete in June 2028.

Future phases of the project
(Phases 2 to 8) will be re-tendered through appropriate procurement
routes, including established frameworks or open procurement, to
ensure competitiveness and value for money.
