Purpose

In October 2018 the Cabinet Member for
Promoting Culture and Communities approved the development of a
‘Music Walk of Fame’ (MWF) installation embedded into
the pavement from Mornington Crescent along Camden High Street to
Chalk Farm and Music Walk of Fame (London) Ltd. (MWFLL) was
approved as the company to deliver the project.  Following a restructure of the operational and
business model the company has requested that the contract and
associated agreements for continuation of the project are assigned
to Safe Music Camden Limited (SMCL) a company registered in England
(Registration No: 11362185).

(i)                
THAT the assignment of the
contract awarded to Music Walk of Fame (London) Ltd and dated 11
February 2020 for the development of a ‘Music Walk of
Fame’ through the installation of ‘stones’ in the
pavement from Mornington Crescent along Camden High Street to Chalk
Farm, to honour prominent industry innovators, musicians and
artists associated with Camden’s 80-year creative musical
heritage, to Safe Music Camden Limited be agreed; and
 

(ii)               
THAT authority be delegated to the
Director Economy, Regeneration and Investment to take any further
decisions under the contract required to deliver the ‘Music
Walk of Fame’ in Camden Town.
