be provided to vulnerable residents following the liquidation of
the Council’s previous community equipment
supplier.

given to a report of the Executive Director
Adults and Health.
DECISION –
Having considered
the Equalities Impact Assessment (EIA) provided in the
report
of 3 September 2025 to the Cabinet Member for Health,
Wellbeing and Adult Social Care, and having due regard to section
149 of the Equality Act 2010, the Leader of the Council
agrees:
i)
To note the contents of the previous report of 3 September
2025 of the Cabinet Member for Health, Wellbeing and Adult Social
Care setting out urgent steps already taken to maintain provision
of service as set out in Section 1 of that report;
ii)
To delegate further authority, noting the increase in value,
to the Director of Adult Social Care Strategy and Commissioning,
following consultation with the Cabinet Member for Health,
Wellbeing and Adult Social Care, to take all decisions necessary
including to agree the Procurement Strategy and Award of any
Contract and entering into all necessary agreements, actions and
contracts on behalf of the Council, including but not limited to
contracts with new providers, in order to ensure the continuity of
the provision of community equipment and the protection of the
vital interests of adults and children in the borough;
and
iii)
That, subject to the agreement of the Chair of the Health and
Adult Social Care Scrutiny Committee, the above decision be exempt
from call in for the reasons for urgency set out in paragraph
1.1.
